September Favorites

Ok, so here are my fav's for September. I have been so busy with getting kids back to school, getting my puppy trained and working, I have not taken the time to share with you my must hav's for September.

So, here they are before September is gone:

I am sure you all have heard about the new Apple watch. Everyone was so freaking excited when it launched. Just like all new Apple products, people stand in line for days for these things. I told myself I would wait and see if all the hype is really true. Well, I have to say, this thing is pretty cool. I am not a huge " techie" but I was really intrigued by this thing. I justified the $400 by the fact that I could wear it at work. I figured because the fact my phone can't really be accessed from the Operating Room when I work or it's tackie to have in a yoga or barre class, I would wear my phone. ( if you know me, you know I am not sitting their checking my instagram feed ). I can be in the Operating Room, 20 feet away with my phone in my purse and I can check my messages, etc. I have not figured out the whole ap thing yet. But, that's the beauty of Apple. Just like your phone, you can make an appointment with the genius bar and they can help you navigate through it. The other cool thing is, that like all Apple products, you can put some cute accesories on the thing. I went to Target and found some cute additives. Apple.com Target.com

My next find this month is this amazing restaurant called Freshii. They have 3 Vancouver/Camas locations and 3 in the Portland, Lake Oswego area. I can't tell you how amazing this place is. Fresh, made to order, salads, wraps, bowls, smoothies, juices, etc. My favorite is the Powerhouse Smoothie. Mint, pineapple, coconut milk, frozen yogurt. I am so addicted, I started making my own at home. So easy, with my fresh mint from my garden. I use fresh pineapple, or, in a hurry, use canned pineapple. I am also addicted to the Pangoa Bowl and my kids can't get enough of the wraps. Check them out in an area near you. Freshii.com

My other find is the Reversable Vegan Tote. I saw this by accident at Nordstroms and I had to get it. It's reversible, comes in a ton of colors and holds a ton of mom crap. Check it out. Nordstroms and even Amazon has it. Nordstroms.com Amazon.com

This last one is so cool. Uber

I know you all have heard of it. I think, like me, you would never use it unless you were getting off a plane or going to the airport. Well, people are utelizing Uber now more than ever.

I started using it recently when we take the train somewhere and don't have a car and want to get around town. It is seemless.... You literally dowload the app, sign up, take a picture of your credit card to have on file for them and boom, its ready to go. Ellie and I used it multiple times in Seattle last weekend. Its so different than a taxi. The cars are meticulously clean, the people are so friendly, it's reasonable and there is none of that ackwardness that comes at the end when you are being dropped off and not sure how much of a tip to leave. It's all done for you, no calculating how much to leave, nothing you have to sign or log into. You literally get a "goodbye, have a nice day" and within minutes, you receive an email with your receipt and it's all done. I also really enjoy talking to the drivers. They are all local peeps that either want to make additional money for something or it's their full time job. I get a kick out of hearing their stories about past clients that use it for a way to get home after a long, drinking night, ( I am so glad some people are responsible ), you get the mom that is using it because they are tired of carting their kids all around town ( never thought it would be used for that reason ) and of course you get the business traveler. It's such an amazing idea and needs to be used more by people. Please try it and pass it on. Uber.com or the Uber app
