My August Obsessions
My August Obesessions. I am always looking for new things. Some of the things I find are food, some are accessories and some are workout routines.
This month I am obsessed with StarCycle. Its this amazing spin studio in Oregon and SW Washington. It's like nothing you have ever experienced before when it comes to a spin class. I can't fully describe it, you just have to experience it. They have opened up multiple locations in Lake Oswego, Cedar Mill area of Beaverton and my favorite location, Vancouver. The premise behind it is amazing. This is their logo: " DREAM. BELIEVE. DO. REPEAT. StarCycle is a unique indoor cycling experience utilizing music and choreography. Each StarCycle class is a 45 minute full-body energetic, inspirational and balanced cardio ride." The music is what does it for me. I also have to admit, I love the fact that's it's almost pitch black aside from the candles they have. You find yourself loosing your ambition because the intimidation goes out the door and you just let the music and the instructors voice take you over. Then before you know it, the 45 minutes is up and you are dripping wet. I love that I got in a great cardio workout, have utilized some upper body with some light weights, used a little yoga breathing and now I am done. You gotta try it. It's addicting.

My second obsession for August is Bounce energy balls. They come in an assortment of flavors. My favorite is the Cacao Mint Protein Bomb Ball. They are high in protein, gluten free, GMO free, and Oregon based. Takes a minute to get use to the consistency but it's a good pick me up for when you are on the go. I am totally obsessed.
Check them out @ bouncelifestyle.com. I buy mine at Fred Meyer.
My third obsession is Volcano Capri Blue Diffuser. I am obsessed with Volcano, Capri Blue Scent Candles in general and now I found the diffuser. I love that I come home and my house smells like Anthropologie. Volcano candles are amazing, I have already told you about how obsessed I am in my past posts. Now you can have that same smell in your whole house.
Check them out @ anthropologie.com or buy on amazon.com.
My last obsession this month, is this new book I just finished reading. Chasing God by Angie Smith. I will be honest, I am not the big religious book read type. I don't really read "Christian books". My mom gave me this book and honestly she has given me many books over my life that I don't finish reading. I loose interest or it doesn't relate to my relationship with God. This book was different for me, it grabbed me with the back cover...
I don't know about you but I feel like I am always chasing God. I have always felt like I have had a relationship with him but I always feel though, that I don't really have that personal relationship that some people say they do. I know I am a Christian, I believe I am going to heaven, if there is such a thing. This book explains why we need to stop chasing him. The back cover states "that there are so many requirements, so many rules, and so much guilt where there is suppose to be this freedom. It's the reason we wonder if we have truely measured up, and that nagging voice that states we have failed as a Christian." This book helps you to stop chasing God and just find him. The author is this amazing, little spit-fire red head mom that I think we can all relate to at times. A must read.
