Ok, so it's finally here. So excited to eat better and even more excited to feel better. I am not going to lie and say this morning wasnt hard...no half and half and sugar in my coffee. I ate a good breakfast and had black coffee. Black Coffee is better than no coffee at all. I went to the 8:30 barre3 class.. I put my sticker on the board for the challenge. I feel suprisingly good. Tonight I am making one of Sadie Lincoln's recipes from barre3.
Last year when I did this challenge, I initially felt like I was missing out. Summer traditions are sentimental, and I wanted those potato chips and beer just like everyone else. However, I was so committed to making healthy changes that I quickly switched my mindset and saw an opportunity to rethink what seemed like such a habit to me. It worked and this past year, I feel like I have really stopped eating crap and switched to good, clean, nonprocessed foods. This time around, the challenge is not to change my habits, but to feel better by eliminating foods that could potentially be draining my energy.

I know this is not going to be easy, but all good things never are. In order for me to feel better and eat better, I have to be willing to sacrifice some foods. Wine, dairy, sugar..All habits, I can live without. I can do that.
Here is the dinner I am making tonight: You can check it out at barrre3.com under recipes. I still encourage you to sign up for the barre3 challenge..it's not too late. Then check in with me and see how I am feeling and what recipes I am trying.
