Homemade Pizza People

When someone use to say to me they made home made pizza, I would think, wow, good for you and think I could never make that!! Home made pizza use to freak me out. Who has time for that? Now adays it's so easy to just pick up a pizza, whether you go home and cook it or have it cooked for you. Then recently, I came across this pizza dough from New Season's. I thought to myself, hmm, maybe I will try this...I did and I am so hooked. We now make it weekly. What is so fun about this is that it really is simple. It's also fun to come up with new topping ideas.

I encourage those of you who are apprehensive, like I was, to try it. You don't have to go to New Season's to get the dough...I am sure every grocery store deli has some fresh dough you can buy. Or you could go and actually make you're own dough. That is a little too scary for me still...but you go for it and try it...I promise, it'll be fun and tremendoulsy addicting.

Recipe:

Dough, stretch and mold to baking sheet or pizza stone. I spray my hands and pan with olive oil prior to placing dough on pan.

-can or jar of your favorite pizza sauce

-one package of mozzarella chesse, shredded. You could use the mix of mozzarella and cheddar, I like mozzarella personally

-pepperoni

-sliced mushrooms

-tomatoes, sliced

-red onions, sliced

-arugula, sprinkled on top

I bake one pepperoni and one vegi. My kids eat a lot, It makes roughly enough for 4 adults or 2 adults and 2 kids, then you have leftovers.

I have also tried feta on it with proscutto and bacon or proscutto and figs is really good too.

Bake at 400 degrees for apx 20 minutes, or til the bottom is golden brown. I check mine frequently 'cause I am still not use to my oven.

Hope you enjoy as much as my family does.
