Mother's

I read some really good Motherhood advice years ago right before I was going to become a mother for the first time...
"In case you are wondering of course you can have it all. What are you going to do? Everything is my guess. It will be messy, but embrace the mess. It will be complicated, but rejoice in the complications. It will not be anything like you think it's going to be like, but suprises are good for you." -Nora Ephron
That has stuck with me over the years. It's true, it will be complicated but it's your complication, so you get through it. It will be messy but it's your mess, so clean it up. Rejoice in the suprises. That is the one I love the best.
I think the beauty of being a mother is savoring every moment you have with them. I feel like I am constantly running everywhere. Running them to school, running to get myself ready, running to the grocery store, running to pick them up from school. This invisible pressure we place on oursleves to be so perfect. As my kids got older, I am learning to say, " So, I guess we are going to be late, and it's OK!" Embrace that lateness.
Motherhood can be amazing. Here are some of my amazing mom's in my life. I hope each and every one of you enjoy your day. Make it one you will savor, messy and all.
